For those Cub Scouts who attended the Astronomy Belt Loop Workshop on
Friday, November 13, tonight is the rescheduled night for viewing. Here is the
information from the Astronomy Associates of Lawrence:
Well,
After an afternoon of clouds, it looks like we may get a short window to
observe tonight. According to the Lawrence Clear Sky Chart there will be
about a 2 hour window starting at 8PM with decent skies. On the other had
the NOAA Graphical Forecast for KS says at the same time there will be around
70% cloud cover over Lawrence. I am going to say that we are going to try
and get the observing session in tonight starting at 8 PM. Club members,
please bring your scopes a little early and we will see what we can see.
Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight and seeing which forecast model
worked better this evening.
