[scouts] T-65 High Adventure This Summer!

Greetings Scouts and Scouters!

We’ve got good news: Troop 65 will go on High Adventure this summer,  
led by our very own Scoutmaster — John Richards!

Where: The brand-new Rocky Mountain High Adventure Base near Poncha  
Springs, Colorado (formerly Packard).

When: We’ll be gone for 10 glorious days, camping at RMHAB for Week  
8: July 26 — Aug. 1 (not including travel time).

What will we do? White water rafting, rock climbing, rappelling,  
mountain treks.

Who is eligible: Scouts who are 14 years by Sept. 1 of this year, and  
who  and meet health guidelines.

Cost: $385 per participant (plus $20 for 2-day’s of wet suit rentals)  
Pay $50 by Friday, May 22, so we can reserve our slots. Pay the  
balance of $335 by July 1 (You may break it down in installments, or  
pay it all before the due date.) Make checks payable to “Troop 65,”  
with “High Adventure” on the memo line. Contact Joe Bollig at (913)

Preparations: Most immediately, you need a State of Colorado medical  
form! Contact Joe Bollig for a form, or download it directly from the  
Rocky Mountain Council Web site (http:// 
www.rockymountaincouncil.org/). Make that doctor’s appointment!

Training/planning meetings: We will meet soon for planning and  
training. Those times and dates will be announced later. Keep watching!
