this is a major fundraiser for Troop 65. The more help we get and the better
prepared we are, going into Maple Leaf, the better off we are financially. The
costs associated to running a Troop include utilities, insurance, camping
equipment, camping fees, transportation, and so forth. This translates to you
as parents in the way of finances because it helps keep your cost down when it
comes to scouting activities. Comments heard in the past is how amazed people
are at how clean the town is during Maple Leaf and that is a reflection on the
Boy Scouts that do trash detail and the cleanup on Sunday night after everyone
leaves. So, sign up early to get the times that work for you, and so that Dana
doesn’t have to come and hunt you down later! <o:p></o:p></span></p>

is that time of the year again. <strong><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>MAPLE
LEAF</span></strong>. Troop 65 is responsible for a <strong><span
style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Food Booth</span></strong> on <strong><span
style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Sat. 8-6 and Sunday 9-5, Trash Pick-up
</span></strong>(Setup Friday night), <strong><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Sat.
12-7 and Sun. 10-7,</span></strong> and <strong><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Parking</span></strong>
at the <strong><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Scout Cabin,
Sat 7am until full</span></strong> (noonish) as well as <strong><span
style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Parking </span></strong>at the <strong><span
style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>IC, Sat. starting at 7:30 am &
goes all day and Sunday am only starting at 7:30 am.</span></strong> We
will need people Friday evening to help put out & set up signs, rope of the
parking area around the scout cabin, set trash cans up round Baldwin
and Set up the food booth. </span><o:p></o:p></p>

are all important things that need to be done, but we this doesn't all end at
5pm on Sunday night. We have Downtown Cleanup that has to be done as
well. Speaking for someone who has done this, it would be REALLY
nice if every scout and their family would show up & help with
this. It would go a lot faster & we all might get home at an
early time.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

this is a crazy time for anyone who lives in Baldwin City. If you
have children involved in other things in school or the community, they
have a booth for you to help with as well. The Boyscout Troop seems to
have decreased in size a little which means that everyone will need to
sign up for more than one shift & more than one thing. I am truely
amaized at the amount of work that these kids & leaders do for Maple
Leaf. It is an important time for Baldwin City & I feel these scouts
do a great job help things run smoothly. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
